Departmental Education
- Departmental education every Tuesday morning including Grand Rounds featuring speakers from within the department and invited guests from other medical institutions and Morbidity and Morality (M&M) conference, where cases from the preceding month are presented and discussed by the department.
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellow conference (didactics) occurs weekly on Tuesday mornings covering various lecture topics, book chapter review, journal club, flipped classroom and simulations. The presenting faculty are from our Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and other department in the hospital.
Conferences
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow Conference: weekly didactics covering various lecture topics, book chapter review, journal club, flipped classroom and simulations.
- Ultrasound and Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Conference: Comprised of lectures, presentations and case conferences supported by Continuing Medical Education (CME) on discussions of ultrasound findings, differential diagnoses, teratology, dysmorphology, prognoses, treatment options, and recommendations for appropriate further testing occur as a result of anomalies seen on the unit.
- Perinatal Conference with the NICU: Faculty and fellow pair from NICU and MFM will decide on a topic of interest to both groups to discuss.
- MFM Division Research in Progress Conference: attended by MFM faculty and fellows, includes presentations of ideas for research projects, updates of ongoing research projects within the division, research methods and possible research collaborations with investigators outside of the MFM division.
- Perinatal Management for women with adult congenital heart disease (ACHD): joint conference with ACDH program to review prenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care of pregnant women with congenital heart disease.
- HROB Clinic Conference: virtual multi-disciplinary clinical management conference with HROB nurse clinician.
