UI Health Care has Iowa’s largest team of board-certified urogynecologists. Our faculty are nationally recognized experts who strive to train the future of academic leaders in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery, who will advance healthcare through excellence in clinical care and scientific research.
The Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center is a three-year, ACGME-accredited program that trains obstetrician-gynecologists to provide consultative services and comprehensive surgical and non-surgical management of pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, other lower urinary tract disorders, pelvic organ prolapse and childbirth-related injuries.
Our program has a longstanding close relationship with the Department of Urology, including multidisciplinary clinical care and shared research efforts going back over 20 years.
Our fellowship includes five core faculty members, with three from Urogynecology (OB/Gyn) and two from our Department of Urology. Our core faculty actively participate in our fellowship teaching which occurs in the clinical setting, through didactics, journal club, conferences, staffing, grand rounds, and mentor meetings.
Applications are accepted through ERAS. We currently match residents trained in obstetrics & gynecology.
