Thank you for your interest in the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program offered by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Iowa Health Care.

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology has a longstanding history of research, teaching, and care for people with gynecologic malignancies. The division is also part of the NCI-designated Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at UI Health Care.

The division has continued to grow year over year. The clinical work includes surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy treatments. Six faculty, four advanced practice providers, and three fellows provide high quality, compassionate care to patients with gynecologic malignancies. The division is a member of the NRG oncology group and actively participates in both NCI, industry and PI-driven clinical trials. All faculty are well-versed in minimally invasive surgical techniques (both robotic and laparoscopic platforms), sentinel lymph node mapping, chemotherapy administration (intravenous, intraperitoneal, targeted therapies, and novel experimental agents) as well as major open abdominal and cytoreductive surgery.
