Research Opportunities

Research time in all Obstetrics and Gynecology fellowships is protected, as mandated by ACGME and ABOG. Fellows are paired with experienced mentors and expected to conduct research culminating in a thesis presented and defended prior to graduation.

Our faculty includes well-established researchers with well-funded research program. Additionally, the University of Iowa has NIH funded facilities to support clinical and translational research. HRSA grant supports rural maternal health disparity research, focusing on preventing maternal death and severe illness.
