Departmental Education

  1. Departmental education every Tuesday morning including Grand Rounds featuring speakers from within the department and invited guests from other medical institutions and Morbidity and Morality (M&M) conference, where cases from the preceding month are presented and discussed by the department.
  2. Didactics occurs weekly on Tuesday mornings covering various lecture topics presented by faculty from Gynecologic Oncology Division, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and other departments in the hospital.
  3. Journal clubs are held monthly, attended by faculty and fellow. Every other journal club the third year fellow will present TB case with review of literature.
  4. The Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship also includes Chemotherapy Rounds where the focus is on reviewing all patients actively undergoing chemotherapy, including those on clinical trials. Fellows discuss options for initiating chemotherapy and alternative choices for patients failing current regimens.
  5. Gynecologic Oncology Tumor board is held once a week. It is a multidisciplinary conference run by the fellows, where clinical scenarios and pathology slides are presented and reviewed, and treatment options discussed and finalized by the faculty.
